Stop Post GE13 Polemic - Mohamad
SEREMBAN, May 14 (Bernama) - All political parties should stop post
13th general election (GE13) polemic as it can thwart efforts to develop
the country.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the people had given the mandate to candidates and parties at state and federal level and dissatisfaction should not arise.
"We must accept the people's verdict, win or lose is part and parcel of a contest. We should forget about GE13. Enough of politics as we did not do anything else for the past two years," he told reporters after launching the Education Fair at Teachers' Day celebration in Paroi, here Tuesday.
The opposition attitude of not admitting defeat by urging the people to join rallies caused a polemic that would not bring any good to the nation.
Mohamad said instead, focus should be made on finding ways to upgrade the economy and attract investors to face the world economic crisis.
"We have to manage the economy and cannot sit still because we will be swept adrift by the economic crisis. Do we want to see Malaysia drift away?
